Some things to consider when looking at degrees and online colleges in Michigan:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics career sectors with the greatest potential for growth between 2008 and 2018 include health care support (24.7 percent); health care practitioners and technicians (17.2 percent); computer and mechanical (13.9 percent growth projected); and life, physical, and social sciences (12.1 percent growth, which would explain why the fastest growing job sectors in Michigan are largely scientific and technological in nature. Unfortunately for Michigan, the sole area expected to see negative growth is manufacturing/production, which is evidenced by the widely publicized exodus of automobile production from the state.
