  • Business Strategy Consultant: Usually have expertise in a particular foreign market and offer strategies to companies on how to penetrate and grow in that market.
  • Finance Advisor: They work hand in hand with strategists to make sure that expanding into or staying in a foreign market is financially viable.

The median starting salary for someone just out of college is about $41,000. By mid-career, the median salary for someone in international business is about $77,000.

While these figures may seem a little low, it is important to note that people who are stationed overseas often receive lots of benefits, which include: housing subsidy, international school tuition for their children, cars and personal drivers, and tax breaks.
