Reasons to Attend
Comments about American InterContinental University:
I went to Medical Assisting program. I really enjoyed my time in school. They worked with me as I had to have surgery in the middle of my time and helped me find a job after the classes were finished. At that time they had a lot of work to do on getting qualified employers to look at their graduates for the medical assisting program. Since they teamed up with Everest I've heard the program has improved immensely. I would recommend someone to attend the college. This college was in San Jose California

Reasons to Attend
Comments about American InterContinental University:
I selected AIU because I wanted to attend a university that was online. This was recommended to me by a friend and from the start it seemed like I was joining a business rather than a school. The advisor wanted to know my reasons for wanting to go to school and said that he would take my name to some big meeting that morning to see if I would be accepted. Total BS. I know that schools are in the business to teach and make money to pay their instructors and faculty, but AIU seemed more on the money side and less on the quality instructor side. The attendance policy is too lax because it doesn't require interaction from the student. They have online discussions that don't work for anybody's schedule besides the instructors. You can view the archived discussions later but that doesn't do any good because you can't ask any questions and the teachers are just reading what the powerpoints say and give no in-depth information or guidance on the subject. I was disappointed later on in my school career to find that the same company that owns AIU also owns Colorado Technical University.
I technically was not compensated for this review yet, but there was an offer based on the quality of this post.
