Comments about Arizona State University:
ASU has many fantastic graduate degree programs. They offer so many specific specialties and so many ways to accomplish the degree.
As an MBA student I had the opportunity to attend full-time, evenings (at 5 different locations), online, or in an executive platform. I attended evening as a main campus student and really enjoyed my experience- I feel I received a great education!
MBA tuition is expensive, but ASU is actually one of the more affordable schools. With a top 30 ranking and affordable tuition, it was a no-brainer to attend a school that makes learning affordable and accommodating.
I know ASU is extremely accommodating for all degrees and programs, undergrad and graduate level.
I also enjoyed very small class sizes. Classes were limited to 40-50 students. I was able to engage in class participation and really get to know my professors and my peers. I felt my education was very personal and that the teachers and staff really cared about me. I also felt the collaborate environment ASU encourages with group work and team projects through the small class sizes.
The only issue is the school is currently having some financial setbacks from the poor economy in the State of Arizona. Staff is sometimes cut back or leave for personal reasons. There was high turnover in the financial aid office, career placement center, career management center, and support staff. Those who stayed and the new hires were fantastic and do anything they can to make the experience what it should be (and more) for the students. However, it's hard not to have frustrations as you go to see a different counselor every semester. I fear there will continue to be support staff and faculty issues so long as the state experiences financial woes and budget cuts.
Pros
- Affordable tuition
- Great instructors
- Provided personal attention

Comments about Arizona State University:
At first I really wanted to do graduate work at ASU because I am a lover of the sun. But once I met the faculty in my program and the students I would be working with for the next 3 years, I felt so inspired and ready to learn from true professionals.
I thought I had things pretty much together after undergraduate years but I realized pretty quickly that I had to work hard to keep up with those in my program and it was great motivation for me. I loved being in a place that drew in competent, experienced professors who devoted a great deal of time to help me complete my goals during grad school. It was an amazing time of my life and I loved my years at ASU (even when the constant days of sunshine got a little old...and hot...)
Pros
- Affordable tuition
- Great business professors
- Online classes
Cons
- Lots of hidden fees
- Smoking on campus

Comments about Arizona State University:
I chose ASU for the W.P. Carey School of Business and it was a great choice. The classes were difficult but the professors were very helpful and knowledgable. Other students say the Education degrees are sub-par however. Many degrees here are great, others would be better earned somewhere else, just ask previous or current students about your degree choice. Tuition is going up, but is still very affordable. They do get you with extra fees, however. ASU seems to be on the cutting edge of education in many ways and overall I would recommend them to anybody, depending on their major.
