Business Administration
The business administration curriculum, with programs that emphasize either marketing or management, is a terminal program that can prepare you to succeed in global business. Today’s employers expect prospective employees to have a well-rounded education, including computer technology and practical business experience. The business administration curriculum at Bauder College could provide this and more.
Computer technology is an integral part of the business administration department. Each term, you will take more advanced classes than the previous term. Classes in accounting, management, economics, advertising, and marketing round out the curriculum. As a senior in the marketing curriculum, you will take Marketing Simulation, a class that simulates the responsibilities and pressures of the marketing professional. In the management curriculum, you will take Small Business Management, an advanced course in which you create a small business plan.
Although many aspects set the business administration curriculum apart, one of the most important is the externship program. With this program, you are required to secure and complete an externship with a company that can provide an in-depth experience within your chosen curriculum. This experience, along with the other practical coursework, could give you a competitive edge in today’s business careers.

Fashion Design
The fashion design industry is a fast-paced, competitive, and ever-changing field. You need hard work, determination, and a creative and technical mindset to succeed in this field. Successful designers must understand and adapt to the changes and challenges of the fashion industry. They must have the ability to visually present their ideas and to produce them. Bauder College’s Associate of Arts in Fashion Design program can prepare graduates to enter the field of fashion.
The fashion design program is designed to prepare students with the skills that employers in the design industry want to see, including a strong foundation of design, illustration, computer, and presentation skills. You can gain hands-on experience not only in pattern making, clothing construction, draping, and specialty design, but also in creating storyboards and visual presentations from illustration and computer techniques. The implementation of computer graphics into the curriculum could provide you with even more of a competitive edge by teaching you to use the computer for fashion illustrations, textile design, flats and specifications, graphic layouts, and spreadsheets.
Upon completion of the fashion design program, you can search for entry-level positions such as assistant designer, illustrator, stylist, technical designer, CAD or CAM operator, and many more.

Graphic Design
Graphic designers are professional communicators who convert the written word into abstract ideas. Graphic designers are found in corporations, government institutions, advertising agencies, design firms, and commercial printers, with many freelancing as independent designers. Duties may include creating web sites and designing books, magazines, logos, symbols, newspapers, print and TV ads, packaging, exhibits, signage, and all types of communication programs.
The graphic design program at Bauder College is designed to give you a balanced and comprehensive course of instruction. The goal of this program is to provide an in-depth knowledge of the graphic design business and encourage creativity while stressing technical and presentation skills. The traditional concepts of graphic design combined with current graphic design practices could enable you to become more a competent and efficient designer.
Instructors guide you in exploring the many ways of developing and creating a range of design projects such as advertising campaigns, logos, packaging, posters, publications, and more, from concept to production. You will have opportunities to interact the active Advisory Board of the College and with professionals on field trips and externships.

Interior Design
To succeed in the diverse world of interior design, you need the technical skills, creativity, and flexibility that Bauder College can offer. Our program will introduce you to the creative and technical processes that could help you pursue an entry-level position in interior design. You can learn how to effectively communicate with clients and vendors by using industry-recognized visual tools, strategic planning, and effective problem-solving techniques. The interior design program at Bauder College is designed to teach you how to do this and more.
As a graduate of this program, you may seek entry-level positions in interior design and related fields, including interior design assistant, residential and commercial design assistant, home furnishings coordinator, contractor and/or builder’s assistant, model home merchandiser, and CADD operator. Additional opportunities for interior design graduates are found in both the retail and wholesale industries as manufacturers’ representatives, showroom personnel, and in furniture sales.

Medical Assistant (Associate)
Medical assistants are vital in today’s rapidly changing health care system. If you pursue a career in medical assisting, you may work directly with patients by assisting physicians with routine medical exams, recording vital signs and medical histories, and explaining treatment procedures to patients and their families.
The objective of the medical assisting program is to prepare you with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits needed to seek an entry-level position as a medical assistant. Bauder College’s medical assisting curriculum can provide you with the skills necessary to work the front or back office in a physician’s office, health department, clinic, or other medical facility.
Upon completion of the program, you should be able to administer injections, take and read patients’ vital signs, assist in minor surgical procedures, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid, complete and code medical insurance documents, manage a physician’s office, perform charting and related documentation duties, and perform venipuncture.

Paralegal
Our programs in the legal field feature courses in areas such as legal research, paralegal skills, and legal office practices. Through in-depth training, our instructors stress fundamental awareness of the law and practical, hands-on skills that could prepare you to meet the demands of the paralegal and legal assistant professions. These programs will not prepare you to practice law.
