According to the school, California State University, Sacramento is the sixth largest university in the 23-campus CSU system, enrolling a multicultural student body of 28,000 while keeping a commitment to small classes. It is California’s Capital University. Students enjoy extensive research and internship opportunities in Sacramento, the heart of the largest state government in the nation. The University’s 300-acre urban campus is sheltered by 3,000 trees and dotted with flower gardens. Trails on its American River border link the University and student housing with popular recreational areas. The University’s most popular programs include business, criminal justice, communication studies, liberal studies, and nursing. Sacramento State remains one of the nation’s best higher education values, with student fees among the lowest in the nation.
