Associate Degree in Nursing
Graduates of the Associate Degree in Nursing program are trained to utilize theory and research-based knowledge in the provision of care to the client, family and community. The program includes general education and nursing foundation prerequisites, as well as a comprehensive nursing core curriculum that includes clinical and laboratory experiences. The 20-month Associate Degree in Nursing program prepares a student to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and is often a stepping stone to a BSN degree . The ADN program is approved by the State Board of Nursing in Colorado. After successful completion of the ADN program, the student becomes eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination, and upon successful completion may apply for their Registered Nurse license.
