According to the school, Concordia-Selma, one of ten post-secondary institutions in the Concordia University System of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, is a historically black, four-year, coeducational college. Concordia’s traditional liberal arts curriculum provides the conceptual framework necessary for analysis and problem solving in society while the fine arts enlighten and enrich the human spirit. The mission of Concordia is to educate its students in accord with the teachings of the Christian faith for lives of responsible and effective service in the church and community.
