Established in 1965 as the New England Aeronautical Institute, Daniel Webster College (DWC), Nashua, N.H., was named in honor of Daniel Webster, national statesman, lawyer, and orator, and his era’s foremost advocate of American nationalism. \r\n\r\nA relatively young institution, the College was given degree-granting authority in 1972 and today is dedicated to focusing on the education of the next generation of leaders for a select niche of dynamic professions. \r\n\r\nInnovative in its program delivery, DWC also was among the first to establish accelerated cohort-based degree-completion programs and a completely online MBA for aviation professionals. Additionally, adult learners seeking to advance their careers can acquire an on-campus MBA.\r\n\r\nSuccessfully augmenting its professional programs in aviation, engineering, computer science, business management, and social science, a central tenet of DWC’s mission is to prepare its students for growth and change through a rigorous general education program in which all students participate. \r\n\r\nIn our experience, students who have acquired both the professional and technical expertise, as well as the ability to understand the wider contexts of industry, economics, humanities, and culture become professionals who are equipped to face the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Service learning practica, along with local and national internship opportunities, extend student learning beyond the classroom. \r\n\r\nDWC students choose to study professional programs in aviation, engineering, computer science, business and management, and social science with faculty committed to student success and sharing their theoretical knowledge and experience through teaching, advising, and mentoring. \r\n\r\nWe partner with businesses in the areas where our graduates may seek careers to develop new programs to best meet the current and future needs of employers. \r\n\r\nWith a variety of experiential, service-learning, and unique internship opportunities, our graduates are “work force ready,” and able to make immediate contributions to their employers.\r\n \r\nDaniel Webster’s rigorous curriculum and intimate atmosphere attract some of New England’s (and beyond) most capable students and faculty to its 54-acre wooded campus located in New Hampshire’s second largest city, which twice has been named the nation’s best city in which to live. \r\n\r\nThe students of today enrolled at Daniel Webster College represent some of the most academically-talented groups to grace the college’s campus.\r\n \r\nDaniel Webster College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., and is a member of the New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC), an association of 12 four-year, accredited, public and private higher educational institutions working together to share resources and enhance learning opportunities for students.\r\n\r\n
