Drew, a traditional small liberal arts college, combines the best of the classic liberal arts tradition with innovative programming across the curriculum, upholding the highest intellectual standards. Drew offers the full range of traditional majors in the liberal arts, along with several cutting-edge interdisciplinary and area-studies programs. Located on nearly 200 beautifully wooded acres know by students as ‘the Forest,’ Drew’s campus is only 30 miles west of New York City, with convenient rail access. Students can take advantage of our location by participating in Drew programs in the city, including the Wall Street Semester, the Art Semester, and the United Nations Semester, all directed by Drew faculty. New programs include majors in Business Studies, and Environmental Studies and Sustainability along with a minor in Public Health. Many opportunities also exist for study abroad, including the unique and popular Drew International Seminars, a collection of three-week long international experiences aimed at sophomores, a semester-long program in London, and numerous summer programs for foreign languages like Italian and Spanish, all run by Drew’s own faculty. Because of Drew’s location, students benefit from extraordinary internship opportunities at corporate headquarters, research laboratories, foundations, charitable organizations, and government agencies. Drew’s low student to faculty ratio and small class size enable its dedicated and accomplished faculty to develop close mentoring relationships with students. Drew seeks to promote diversity, civic engagement, and social responsibility both in and out of the classroom.
