Known worldwide as the premier institution of fashion education, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is also an internationally renowned college of art and design, business and technology, of the State University of New York. With more than 35 programs leading to the AAS, BS, BFA, MA, and MPS degrees, FIT is committed to combining a career-focused curriculum with a traditional academic experience. Each program of study is grounded in a comprehensive liberal arts foundation, enabling students to graduate with industry-ready preparation and broad-based knowledge. The faculty, drawn from academia and New York City’s business and design professions, infuses a hands-on teaching approach with real-world expertise. FIT’s ten-building campus — centrally located in Manhattan — includes studios and labs that reflect the most advanced educational and industry practices, and serves more than 10,000 students from throughout the U.S. and around the globe.
