According to the school, Fitchburg State University has been designated as the site of the Leadership Academy. The university emphasizes the importance of leadership studies, service learning, civic responsibilities, ethical development, and international education. In the process the university encourages the development of the whole person and prepares students for careers that meet the needs of their varied communities.
