Since 1949, Grand Canyon University has been a premier private university in Arizona, helping students find their purpose and achieve their potential through landing the job of their dreams, advancing their career, or changing occupations. As a Christian university, GCU also encourages students to find their purpose in Christ, with an emphasis on applying Christian values and ethics to the workplace. In addition to the traditional campus, GCU offers online programs that allow you to be in any location, studying at any time of day or night you choose, while still enjoying the close connection with your classmates and instructor via online discussions. It’s the perfect solution for those seeking the flexibility online classes offer. Grand Canyon University is regionally accredited and consistently ranked among the top colleges offering online courses by noteworthy sources including Fortune Small Business, Technology & Learning Magazine, Fox.com, Online Education Database (OEDb) and more.
In response to our students’ diverse needs, Grand Canyon University is now offering evening degree programs across each of our colleges.
Evening Program Benefits
- Convenience. Courses conveniently meet one evening per week at locations throughout the community.
- Small class size. With just 15-20 students, class sizes are kept intentionally small so each student can receive the individual attention he/she needs.
- Same Core Group. Evening programs allow students to learn with the same core group throughout the life of the program.
- Networking Opportunities. Provides networking opportunities with others in your chosen field.
- Growth Opportunities. Continued growth opportunities to network with individuals at a more advanced level since master’s and doctoral learners will meet on the same nights.
If a group of your peers or coworkers are interested in starting a degree program together, GCU will develop an evening program that allows them to learn together, serving as a support network. Programs are offered in Health Care, Education, Business, and Christian Studies.

Comments about Grand Canyon University:
I selected this school because it was accredited and I enjoy working online being a full-time worker and student. My individual experience is that I have gained much experience and ready to complete my studies. The only thing that I didn't like was all the papers that has to be written and the short time to have them completed. Not enough examples for what you must complete.

Comments about Grand Canyon University:
What brought me to Grand Canyon University was hearing Bart Millard from Mercy Me talk about the school at a Rock and Worship Roadshow concert earlier this year. I had been thinking of going to school at a local college until hearing about GCU. The thought of attending a christian university and having the choice of online classes was a perfect choice. You see I don't have a car right now and my city doesn't have public transportation, so it was also a major choice in my decision for GCU. I've only been attending my online classes for six weeks, but am LOVING it. My counselors, instructor, and classmates are all great and helpful. It is like one big happy family at Grand Canyon University. It is a very positive atmoshpere. I would definetly encourage anyone that is thinking about taking some online courses to check out Grand Canyon first and that I believe they would be totally satisfied with it, as I am. Grand Canyon is an accredited school and has numerous degrees to choose from to take. Since I just started my first course there, I have not spoken to anyone much about graduation or life after graduation. I feel it is too soon for me to even think about that, besides I am the type of person that lives one day at a time, because tomorrow is not promised. When I get through maybe half of my courses, I might start thinking about after graduation, but until then just focus on getting through now.

Comments about Grand Canyon University:
I received my Master of Arts in teaching through their distance learning program. It had the most affordable tuition of all the programs I looked into and as a working teacher I also liked that I could structure my time as I needed too. They also had an option of paying tuition monthly instead if at the beginning of the semester which was helpful for me. I never set foot on campus but I was happy with my education.

Comments about Grand Canyon University:
I personally selected this school because I needed something that could work better with my schedule. I did not have time to attend classes all day because I was putting myself through college and needed a full time job. I attended GCU from 2007-2010 and obtained both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education in that time frame. In my experience with the university I was so grateful for the care and concern the staff and my professors had for my individualized educational journey. I was pleased to be learning from highly qualified individuals. The online experience was absolutely wonderful because you could fit your assignments into your every day schedule. I knew my availablilty and arranged it around assignment due dates. I feel the overall classes were fantastic and I learned so much valuable information. We were able to work with other students in group settings and the class discussions really helped aid in a great classroom experience that only added to each students knowledge. The only parts of online classes that I personally found difficult was taking lab classes that involved having several items and conducting experiments at home. I had a wonderful academic advisor who helped me out every step of the way and I am blessed beyond belief to have received such an amazing education from GCU.
