Hofstra University is a dynamic, private university where students succeedand study in 140 undergraduate and 150 graduate programs of study. The major divisions of the university provide students with a broad array of academic offerings: the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Communication, the Frank G. The campus features state-of-the art teaching facilities, including a new converged newsroom and multimedia classrooms, one of the most advanced academic trading rooms in the nation, six theaters and a rooftop observatory. The Hofstra libraries contain 1.2 million print volumes and provide 24/7 electronic access to more than 90,000 journals and electronic books. Additionally, there are 37 residence halls, 21 eateries, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and extensive athletic and recreational facilities.
