Medical Assistant
Medical Assistants are multi-skilled health professionals who assist physicians in performing a broad range of administrative and clinical duties. This field is suitable for people who want to acquire knowledge in the medical field, help others, and enjoy working with people. The many different roles in this profession assure a fast-moving and exciting career.
The objective of this program is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for an entry-level position as a Medical Assistants. The emphasis on administrative and clinical skills includes instruction in medical terminology, medical insurance billing, medical office procedures, communication, word processing, accounting, and computer skills. The program includes an externship in a physician’s office, clinic, or other healthcare facility. Diploma courses may be applied toward the Medical Assistant Degree program.

As a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, you stand at the crossroads of healthcare and technology, yet you make an important contribution to the delivery of quality care.
