Accounting
This program is designed to develop essential accounting and office automation and application skills. Opportunity is provided to learn the two most widely used automated accounting applications, as well as combine the required courses to successfully pursue the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) Certification Process for Office 2003. Qualified students are also afforded an extern opportunity to gain real-life work experience. Relevant Microsoft Certification Exams are included in the program.

Administrative Support
Office Administration today is much different since the evolution of the personal computer. Word processing, accounting, and computer operating systems, when combined with keyboarding skills, prepare the graduate for advanced or supervisory positions. This program provides the essential tools for successful employment and advancement. English as a Second Language
Consisting solely of English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, this program is designed for only those students who require English language development to use already existing vocational knowledge, training, or skills. This instructional program focuses upon development of listening, reading, writing, speaking (conversation), and grammar at all levels of the curriculum. Courses are designed in such a manner that skills are developed sequentially, with the English elements identified and taught in order of difficulty to include those necessary for English language success in the beginning, low intermediate, and high intermediate levels. Included within the programs interactive guided methodology are a combination of lecture/laboratory, class discussion, and group activities designed to provide English language skills as well as cultural transference.

Coders are a central and perceptible part of healthcare today. They work in an array of healthcare settings including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, clinics, home healthcare agencies, extended care facilities, etc. A fundamental understanding and knowledge of coding skills in the assignment of appropriate ICD-9CM, CPT and HCPCS codes is critical in the healthcare setting as medical coders and billers use their skills to assign and sequence the correct diagnosis and procedure codes for healthcare services. Competencies of data identification, coding guidelines, regulatory guidelines, coding and data quality are addressed and reviewed to ensure the student has the required skills and foundation to perform his/her job responsibilities as a coder.
