In this multi-occupational diploma program, students are cross-trained to perform any number of clinical skills from performing electrocardiograms as an EKG Technician, to collecting laboratory specimens, or to assisting a patient to walk.
The Patient Care Technician graduate can expect to find entry-level employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and urgent care centers. The Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program includes the final module, which is referred to as a “clinical rotation.” During this rotation, which takes place at the completion of all classroom and laboratory training, students are given the opportunity to observe and become part of the health care team, as they gain hands-on practice working side-by-side with other health care workers.
