According to the school, as America’s Career University, a Johnson & Wales education combines the best of a liberal arts education and a career education to prepare graduates for successful careers in a variety of industries. While all students major in specialized programs, including but not limited to culinary arts, hotel management, nutrition, advertising, criminal justice, financial services and marketing communications, they are also enrolled in arts & sciences courses to ensure they graduate with the critical writing, thinking and math skills required for career success and personal fulfillment. Some other distinguishing features of a J&W education are: Upside-down curriculum; courses in your major from day one, so you can confirm right away if your choice of major is the right one for you; learning by doing co-ops with industry and internships at university-owned properties to put in practice what you learn in the classroom, plus real-life examples in the classroom; faculty from industry faculty with real-world experience; small class sizes; no large lecture halls, just what you need to build relationships with students and faculty; two degrees in four years; option to earn both an A.S. and a B.S. in many majors; three-term schedule 11-week sessions enable you to take three to four classes at a time, instead of the usual four to five, giving you more time to focus on each course.

Comments about Johnson & Wales University:
I selected this school based on reputation alone. When I started my internship, I was 100% prepared. The chefs are award winning, and if you are willing to give them the respect they deserve and put in a lot of time and effort, you are guaranteed to succeed. They dont screw around here, Im pretty sure 1/3 the people I started the program with didnt graduate.
