Associate Degree (Accelerated) Culinary Arts (requires existing BA)
If you already have a Bachelor degree, Kendall’s A.A.S. Accelerated Culinary Arts program puts you on the fast track to an Associate degree in the Culinary Arts. A unique offering, our accelerated program lets you earn your two-year degree in an abbreviated time frame while enjoying the same high-caliber culinary curriculum, award-winning faculty, and rigorous hands-on experience of our traditional A.A.S. Culinary Arts degree program. You’ll become well-versed in the art and science of cooking and acquire critical business management knowledge that equips you to succeed in today’s competitive job environments. Starting with culinary basics, the accelerated program culminates with you cooking in a fine dining setting overlooking the city of Chicago.
Upon graduation, you will have the professional skills, attitude, and knowledge needed to launch a culinary career and grow into a leadership position. You can also continue on to earn a Bachelor degree in Culinary Arts, a highly recommended next step for students who want to achieve their full potential in the culinary profession.

Associate Degree – Baking and Pastry
Kendall’s two-year Associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts offers a comprehensive study of baking and pastry at Kendall’s state-of-the-art bakeshop facilities in Chicago. This degree will prepare you for a career in a professional pastry kitchen or bakeshop, or in a business with baking and pastry product lines. You will learn baking and pastry fundamentals in both theory and practical application.
You will learn the science behind baking and apply this knowledge in hands-on production. Different mixing, shaping, and baking techniques will be explored, as well as methods and creative design concepts for preparing classic and contemporary breads and pastries. In addition, you will learn how meticulously prepared, memorable breads and pastries can create a proprietary point of difference, or “signature,” that everyone will recognize.
Upon graduation, you can seek job opportunities in your field or continue on to earn your Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, a highly recommended next step for students who want to achieve their full potential in the foodservice industry.
