Kettering University

Flint

Kettering University has the professors, the labs, and the experiences that bring knowledge and practice together better than any place else. The university offers accredited programs in engineering, math, life sciences, computers and business. In addition to fourteen academic programs Kettering also offers more than 40 minors, concentrations and courses of study, Kettering provides an exceptional education based on cooperative education, experiential learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, in an expanding set of relevant degree programs. Kettering partners with more than 550 corporations from across the world to connect students with work experiences. Our students take their classroom learning to the workplace and bring their working knowledge back to the classroom. They are prepared to move into the “real world” with practical experience and first-hand knowledge of how business, industry, service organizations, research and development actually work. Our faculty is dedicated to teaching excellence in a learner-centered environment and infuses concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship across the entire curriculum. We have small classes led by full-time, Ph.D.-level faculty members and first-class labs that provide “hands-on” education right from the first semester. More than 92% of Kettering students receive some sort of financial aid and/or earn a generous merit scholarship. In addition, many students are paid for the work they perform during experiential learning terms. The Kettering study abroad program enables students to take major courses required for their degree program in English at a partner school in the host country. Some Kettering students are also able to work in international locations for their co-op employer for one or more terms, sometimes before or after a semester of classes abroad.\r\n\r\nAt Kettering, our students learn more, experience more and achieve more. Any university will take you places. Kettering University will take you farther.\r\n
