North Park University prepares students for lives of significance and service as an intentionally Christian University. We offer an education that is profound and practical, is rooted in the Christian tradition, balances freedom and disciplined responsibility, focuses on the important, and is formational and transformational of the whole person. This education is built around ten great questions of life, including: Who am I? to What is Justice? What is true? What is a life of significance? Who is my Neighbor? and more. North Park students develop into men and women with passion to contribute to the common good of the planet through wide ranging careers in business, health care, government, education and the non-profit sector, including Christian ministries and the church. Students who are successful at North Park are regularly admitted into top tier graduate programs following college.\r\nThe campus is located on a beautiful park-like 30 acre campus in a vibrant culturally diverse Chicago neighborhood. Four bus routes border the campus and the Brown Line of the train system stops just two blocks away. A student owned automobile is not necessary. Four residence halls (two men and two women) house 600 students and another 525 students are housed in school owned houses and apartments on the campus.\r\nNorth Park is a multi-cultural university, welcoming undergraduate students from 40 states and almost 30 countries. 58% of the student body is Caucasian, 3% international, 8% African American, 10% Latino, 6% Asian, 1% Native American, and 14% other or unknown. The socio-economic composition of the student body is also diverse as is the faith background of students. \r\n37 undergraduate majors and 26 minors are supplemented by special programs and pre-professional programs.\r\nAn Honors Congress is composed of high ability students, and includes the opportunity to be mentored in applying for Fulbright Scholarships. Four North Park students have been awarded Fulbright Scholarships since 2008.
