Saint Francis University founded in 1847, is the oldest Franciscan college and one of the first Catholic colleges established in the United States. Saint Francis University offers higher education to individuals of all faiths through its 25 undergraduate and 7 graduate majors, in an environment inspired by Catholic values as expressed through the Franciscan tradition. All programs foster an understanding of ethical issues; promote respect for diversity of people; develop communication, mathematical, critical thinking and computer-based skills; offer a broad range of knowledge, providing an effective counterpoint to the majors, and provide a coordinated set of courses and experiences to meet the special needs of all students.
