Diploma - Pharmacy Technician
If you are good with math and are detail-oriented, UMA’s Pharmacy Technician program may be right for you and, best of all, it can be completed in just under a year. Through an online classroom you learn to manage and fill prescription requests, calculate drug dosages and maintain patient profiles. We enhance the learning experience by working with thousands of national partnering sites, including Walgreens and Target, to find a suitable pharmacy where you can practice your new skills during your externship component. As a graduate, you are equipped to pursue entry-level jobs in retail, hospital, long term care and mail order pharmacies. Graduates are eligible to sit for the exam to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
