Comments about University of Kentucky:
Fabulous Drama dept and Journalism school, Dept of education is extremely good. Art dept is so abstract impressionist that they don't know which way us up. School of medicine and dentistry are top notch. This is a research institution, the faculty is hired to do research and maybe teach one or two courses per semester. The lower division core courses are by and large taught by graduate assistants who are very knowledgeable but may not have a good command of english making it extremely tough on students coming in from rural areas. This contributes to a high drop out rate in the first two years, my advice is go to a jr college or community college to get the first two years out of the way and then transfer to UK from there, you will fare much better.
