Nurse Educator - Master of Science Nursing
The online Nurse Educator program prepares nurses for leadership roles in practice and educational settings. Emphasis is placed on curricular designs, teaching strategies, and assessment measures, which have been proven to be successful in both traditional and online nursing and health education programs. Through an online “cohort” format, students will earn their degree with a group of adult student peers.
Today’s nurses must combine expertise in their field with the ability to lead those with whom they serve. Whether nurses choose to practice in direct care, administration, or education, they will function in complex and constantly changing environments. The University of Mary Online Nursing Program prepares students to excel in a wide variety of settings, with focus on the application of knowledge in the delivery of patient care. Our graduates are servant leaders, taking an active role in the welfare of individuals and communities.
The Seminar in Higher Education provides the student with the opportunity to partner with a nursing program and an experienced nurse educator. Both direct classroom and nursing practice instruction are utilized.
Online courses are delivered by highly qualified faculty who hold master’s or doctorate degrees. Most are leaders in their specialty area. The University of Mary has enjoyed continuous accreditation by The Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, since 1969. MSN programs are also accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
