I chose to attend Utah State University while still a Senior in High School, and mostly chose it for the impression the USU representatives left on me during "college day." They explained all of the exciting extra curricular activities offered, and how the Social Work program (my desired major at the time) was really good.
I stayed at USU for 3 years, living at the dorms my first year and off campus the next two, and to say I loved it is a major understatement! I love the small campus layout, the beautiful library, and how helpful the professors were. I felt like I was getting a great education and never had a teacher I didn't like; I usually always looked forward to going to class. Classes are offered all throughout the day, which I appreciated. USU also offers many great on campus jobs, I worked at Aggie Connection and it is one of my favorite jobs to date!
Yes, it is freezing up there, and I may or may not have slipped on ice a time or two while walking to class. My very favorite part about Utah State though is the traditions they have. Living in Logan and attending USU is much more a lifestyle than just getting an education. I will always consider myself an Aggie!

You are a number only
I was only a number to the instructors they didn't listen or help me. They graded on a curve. Only gave out so many A,B,C.

Comments about Utah State University:
Though the general studies classes were very over populated the classes for early childhood special ed were a much more resonanle size. The instructors were very knowledgeable and enjoyed what they were teaching. My only complaint is how many hoops they made their education students jump through just to be accepted into the program. The campus is a great size and fairly easy to navigate. The dorms leave something to be desired and could do with some updating. This is a great school if you are an outdoors enthusiast as there are many places just down the street from the school to hike, ski, run and its only a short drive away from bear lake.

Comments about Utah State University:
My decision to study at Utah State was based primarily on location. It turned out to be a great place to study-excellent instruction, lots of one-on-one attention, beautiful campus, great location. I went to a highly respected graduate program after USU with students from all sorts of undergraduate institutions. I was one of the better prepared students in our department, thanks to my professors at Utah State.

Comments about Utah State University:
I would recommend this school to most people. It is a cute little college town and a beautiful campus. The winters are super cold and there is not much parking available by campus so that is a con. I really liked the instructors however if you are looking for physical education do not go to this school. All the teachers are students and quite frankly don't really teach the courses.
I loved my time at this school but due to poor counselors I was there for way too long. I would visit with them every semester to make sure that I had the courses that I needed but I had some advise me to take the wrong classes and others who didn't tell me that certain classes were important which made me stay in school for an extra year and a half. I would just warn everyone before they went to this school about this because I am not the only student who had this problem.

Comments about Utah State University:
My experiences at Utah State have been really great and very positive. The college atmosphere is superb. The variety of degrees available is really impressive. The professors are really prepared for lectures/activities and are attentive to student's needs.
The online/broadcast classes are also really great. Some of the best professors I have learned from were in a broadcast class. Because of the vastness of location diversity, it is possible to learn from a collective of well studied, experienced professors which is incredibly valuable.
There are "campuses" located all over the state and it is nice to be able to attend even if you are not located in Logan, Utah.

Comments about Utah State University:
Not only are there many degree options, there are also many research opportunities available; a chance for hands on learning. Many of my friends who were coming for simple bachelor degrees moved on to graduate school because of the research they were able to do as undergrads. I started my own research project just after my freshman year and collaborated with students from all over the nation.
