Reasons to Attend
Comments about Western Kentucky University:
The residence halls were renovated recently and many are very comfortable living. My class sizes were all reasonable with the exception of one or two general education classes where the class size was large. Even so, the teachers were personal and helpful and still took the time to know my name and help answer questions about the material. The degree offerings were decently wide from the sciences to the arts allowing students to explore what they're interested in.
The one thing that drove me crazy was "The Hill". Western Kentucky University was literally built on top of a hill and you could have to walk up and down it if you don't schedule your classes carefully. They recommend not having a class at the top of the hill and another at the bottom back to back because it takes too long. However, it IS good exercise.
Overall, I loved Western. I made several friends that I still keep in contact with today. It was an experience I'll never be able to recreate.
