Bemidji State University
The mission of Bemidji State University is to provide high quality, affordable undergraduate and graduation education to Minnesota students and to students from other states and countries. The university provides instruction in over 50 major areas, employs nearly 200 full time instructors, and serves both residential and commuting students. Its campus is situated on 89 acres within the city of Bemidji, is adjacent to a clear, freshwater lake, and the students can participate in over a hundred organized extra-curricular activities, including sports, arts, outdoor activities, and social events. Among its exemplary academic programs are accounting, writing, aquatic biology, psychology, design technology and computer information systems. The student body is diverse, with 180 American Indian students and 150 students from 40 other countries.
