According to the school, Faulkner University’s mission is to glorify God through education of the whole person, emphasizing integrity of character in a caring Christian environment where every individual matters every day. The mission and basic commitments of Faulkner University have remained essentially the same since its founding, although the methods and procedures carrying out that mission and those commitments have changed substantially over time. Faulkner University enrolls students from 25 states and six foreign countries. Most of her students come from the southern states with the largest number coming from the state of Alabama. Because of this southern makeup of its student body, the campus has a reputation of being very friendly. It is a welcoming campus which allows its students to become very involved in their college experience. Faulkner University is dedicated to maintaining a quality educational experience. Instructors are highly qualified in their disciplines, with over 70% of the faculty holding terminal degrees. The belief that the Bible is the inspired inerrant word of God is the founding principle of Faulkner University, as every subject is taught from a Christian perspective. Faulkner offers an exceptional academic education with the underlying foundation from the Christian worldview. From the Great Books Honor College, the Vice President Black College of Biblical Studies to the 10 social clubs and to the athletic championships, Faulkner strives to complete the whole person.
