PhD - Culture, Diversity & Social Justice in a Global Context

This specialization is designed to prepare students to serve in diversity and inclusion positions within organizations and institutions. Courses within this specialization explore key subjects such as understanding culturally inclusive language, exploring diversity and injustice on the global stage along with analyzing contextual systems of oppression and privilege. Additional subjects include how to provide more culturally sensitive care and creating more appropriate treatment plans for diverse populations.

Students with this specialization are required to focus on issues related to culture, diversity and social justice in a global context for their course projects, Advanced Practical Experience Component and dissertation research.
