Rockhurst University is a comprehensive, four-year Catholic Jesuit university of 3,000 students in the business and cultural heart of Kansas City. Rockhurst educates undergraduate and graduate students, emphasizing ‘Learning, Leadership and Service in the Jesuit tradition.’ In the classroom, students are encouraged to engage in the rigorous intellectual inquiry for which Jesuit institutions are known. Faculty and staff work personally with students to help them identify their gifts and talents, and to develop those gifts through leadership and service to others. More than 90 percent of undergraduates volunteer in the community; Rockhurst has a Center for Service Learning to coordinate and promote these efforts.
