Master of Business Administration: Info Security Mgmt

Our online MBA program enables you to earn your degree in the most convenient and efficient manner possible over the internet. Its design permits students to take up to two courses per eight-week term. Students can complete the 36 credits required for graduation in as little as one year, or may extend their studies for as long as five years. You may start the Saint Leo MBA program at any of six terms each year.

Our MBA curriculum is designed to produce tomorrow’s organizational leaders, and follows the same curriculum as the on-campus MBA students, which includes courses in financial accounting, marketing, management strategies, international business, ethics, law and leadership. Courses focus on managing the complex interactions between these functions when defining and solving real-world business problems. In addition to the development of analytical tools, emphasis is placed on leadership, communications, teamwork, ethics, and the skills for managing diversity.

This MBA degree will ensure that graduates have the information systems security and technical skills and business knowledge required to protect the resources in a company’s information system against those who would prey upon the company via electronic media. This graduate Information Security Management program educates managers to locate the information resources and knowledge in a company and find ways to protect that knowledge as it is acquired, distributed, and stored. Prerequisite knowledge requirements include prior knowledge of computer operations, networking, and other areas in the computer field. Students who do not have such experience may experience difficulty in being successful in the concentration. Students may have taken the requisite academic credits at the undergraduate level, demonstrate the knowledge through comprehensive testing or previous experience in the field, or take courses that are offered by Saint Leo University or another accredited institution. Recommended background classes or equivalent that should be taken at the undergraduate level include Management Information Systems, Information Technology and Project Management, Network Theory and Design.
