Medical Billing and Coding

The Medical Insurance Billing & Coding program will train students for entry-level employment. Skills acquired include data collection, documentation, diagnostic and procedural coding, insurance claim completion and submission, updating insurance rules and regulations, and following-up on claims.

Students have the opportunity to develop skills and competencies further by participating in a 146-hour externship in locations such as clinics, laboratories, medical offi ces, hospitals, and more.Students will receive instruction in the techniques of fi nding and retaining a job.
