Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician Program prepares students for eligibility to register with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy through hands-on training.

Students have the opportunity to learn skills in basic pharmacology, pharmacy operations and procedures, as well as business communications and computer software. All Students have the opportunity to develop skills and competencies further by participating in a 90-hour externship in locations such as clinics, retail pharmacies, laboratories, medical offices, hospitals, and more. Through Career Services, students also receive instruction in the techniques of finding and retaining a job.
