Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT)
The Phlebotomy Technician I course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a clinical laboratory, hospital, clinic, or physician’s office. This program covers topics including basic infection control, universal precautions and safety, anatomy and physiology of body systems, appropriate medical terminology, selection and preparation of the skin puncture site, blood collection equipment and the importance of overall patient care. At the end of the course, you’ll have the opportunity to complete an externship and gain real-world experience!
Upon successful completion of the course and the written examination, you will receive a certification of completion as a Phlebotomy Technician I and have your application submitted directly to the Department of Health Services for certification as a Phlebotomy Technician I!
