Comments about Central Connecticut State University:
I attended CCSU for two semesters as an exchange student from an English university. The overall experience was a very positive one. I took classes in the Political Science department and have to say that the instructors there are first class. Anyone that can listen to a 'know-it-all' foreigner attempting to trash their country and government at every opportunity and take it in a good nature is alright by me! All of the instructors were extremely knowledgeable, presented the classes in interesting ways and took time to work with me on a one-to-one basis when needed.
I had a great opportunity to take part in a well established internship that has served to improve my employabliity in later years.
At the time I attended there was a great deal of construction taking place but I have visited campus since and it really looks amazing. On-campus student housing has been updated and is much better now than when I was there ( I lived on a part of campus known as 'The Ghetto' – that says it all).
Choices for off-campus entertainment are very limited, but there are all the major amenties you would need within a short distance from the school, and it seems like there is always something going on on campus to keep you busy at any given time.
In general the student body is made up of hard working a friendly people and I made friends for life during my time at CCSU.
Pros
- Affordable tuition
- Convenient locations
Cons
- Limited degree offerings
- No online classes
- Poor instructors
- Students not dedicated

Comments about Central Connecticut State University:
I chose this school because my sister was going there. I didn't know what I wanted to do and changed my major twice because teachers discouraged me from a B.S. in English. I left the school with a B.A. in English and no internship or direction towards a job in my field of study.
