THE CORTIVA EXPERIENCE Hands-on training is an integral part of the Cortiva experience. Most of our schools have community outreach programs and student clinics, through which you’ll have the opportunity to transfer classroom theory into real-world practice. Opportunities and requirements vary by school. Students have been deeply inspired by this work and the effect it’s had on the community as well as their own lives.
Community Outreach Opportunities Through local community organizations, you could have the chance to work with the homeless, the terminally ill, drug-exposed infants, the elderly, and other populations who would not otherwise have access to the healing power of touch. Health fairs, conventions and conferences, corporate wellness days, and major sporting events have also provided opportunities for students to practice their massage techniques in a variety of interesting settings.
Student Clinics All of our schools have student clinics. These facilities give students the opportunity to work directly with clients in a professional setting. From interviewing and designing massage sessions to writing up session notes, you’ll hone your skills under the helpful guidance of clinic instructors.
