According to the school, George Fox is a Christian university of the arts, sciences, and professional studies. Small class sizes allow for personal attention from faculty who integrate their Christian faith into the curriculum. Funds are provided for independent undergraduate research. A culture of volunteer service is encouraged through an all-campus Serve Day and serve trips during school breaks. Students enjoy the proximity of Portland, the Pacific Ocean, and other attractions of the Pacific Northwest. Many also participate in university-sponsored international experiences. The campus offers wireless Internet access.
