Kent State is a great school to go to even though you have to deal with all the hoopla surrounding the May 4th 1970 shootings. Come on people its over 40 years ago. get over it.

The Kent State campus offers both a lesson in history - from the May 4th riot shootings - and a charm that only the unique professors could provide. Worldly yet grounded, I felt the staff at Kent State provided personalized teaching methods for their students - as well as honored the university's pride - by teaching the importance of knowing of and learning from its history.
I have found my time at Kent State prepared me very well for the real world. Though uncomfortable at times, the curriculum and staff pushed each student to think outside the box by placing them in everyday life situations. I'm grateful for my education each day - something that can never be taken from me.
Jobs will come and go - but my education gives me the pride and confidence I need to persevere through rough patches in life.
