Comments about University of Oklahoma:
I decided to attend OU College of Dentistry because it is known for providing a strong clinical experience. There are not as many specialty programs here (ie Endodontics or Pedodontics) which allows the dental students more opportunities to grow in those areas. I like the smaller class size (60) and the friendliness of the faculty and staff.
There is a nice large Student Health Club that has up-to-date exercise equipment, basketball/racquetball courts, and swimming pool. There are also various intramural sports to get involved in.
The price of out-of-state tuition is rather steep, but that's common at most other schools. The utilization of clinic chairs and the whole process of treating patients under the current system in place is rather daunting and has a very steep learning curve. But currently it is being changed and re-vamped for the better (hopefully).
