The Mission of Chestnut Hill College is to provide students with holistic education in an inclusive Catholic community marked by academic excellence, shared responsibility, personal and professional growth, service to one another and to the global community, and concern for the earth. The College has a long history of educating scientists, educators, and musicians, and has strong technology, psychology, and human services curricula. Chestnut Hill College is a close-knit community offering personalized one-on-one contact between faculty and student and between student and student. The curriculum emphasizes integration of classroom, extracurricular programs, student life, and personal goals. The college is growing: two new buildings have been constructed in the past five years, and land has recently been acquired that that almost doubles our campus size. A unique collaborative opportunity is the Sisters of St. Joseph Association of Colleges Student Exchange Program (ACSSJ), which offers students the opportunity to study at one of seven other U.S. colleges sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The College is a member of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE), a consortium of eight independent higher education institutions in the Greater Philadelphia region. Positive outcomes for students include extensive course offerings through cross registration plus the richness of sharing in the resources of seven excellent colleges. Our campus location combines the best of center city of Philadelphia, only a short train ride away; the charm of colonial Chestnut Hill, just up the hill; and the sylvan beauty of Fairmount Park, directly across the street. The campus is green and beautiful; our new buildings are modern, but they blend with the elegant architecture of our older buildings.
