According to the school, Virginia Intermont College was founded in 1884 by Baptist minister, J.R. Harrison. Virginia Intermont is a private, comprehensive college with a student to faculty ratio of 10 to 1, we provide a strong liberal arts education experience and we are committed to providing students with individualized attention as they prepare for their futures. VIC offers a variety of majors for students to pursue their passions, with specialty programs in art, business, education, equine studies, music, photography and theatre. VIC enrolls more than 900 students from 33 states and 4 countries. Our friendly and charming campus is in a great location with a mild weather and abundant recreation opportunities.
