University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) is a state university providing baccalaureate and select associate degrees to meet the educational, economic and cultural needs of Central Maine. Other top UMA programs include Business, Computer Information Systems, Nursing, Biology, Dental Hygiene, Liberal Studies, English, Public Administration, Veterinary Technology, Justice Studies, Library and Information Services, and Mental Health and Human Services. In all, UMA offers 29 degree programs. Some students enroll at UMA knowing exactly what they want to do and others need time to explore their options. UMA allows for both and also welcomes full time and part time students of every age.
