The University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) is unique as an academically rigorous, public undergraduate liberal arts college. UMM’s strength as a liberal arts institution comes primarily from three factors: a focused, narrowly defined mission which provides a rigorous liberal arts program; an intellectually gifted student body; and a faculty dedicated to teaching, to personal contact with students, and to research with full student participation: UMM students produce the largest amount of undergraduate research within the five campuses of the University of Minnesota. It is a college for intelligent, thoughtful, down-to-earth students who want to be involved members of campus and academic life.
